Gatlinburg has been providing local trolley service since May 1980. The Gatlinburg, TN trolley service operates a citywide trolley system that is great for getting around in the city.

The trolley service also operates routes that serve the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (3 park destinations: Sugarlands Visitor Center, Laurel Falls Parking Area and the Elkmont Campground), Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountain Arts & Crafts Community.

The trolley system has 20 trolleys serviceing approximately 50 miles in Gatlinburg and the surrounding area. The trolley service uses handicapped equipped trolleys to accommodate the disabled. The trolley system operates 365 days a year. From May through October operating hours are from 8 am until midnight. March through April hours are from 10 am until 10 pm. November through February operating hours are from 10 am until 10 pm on Friday & Saturdy and 10 am until 6 pm on Sunday through Thursday. The number of trolleys per day are reduced and routes are modified during winter months. Visit the city's Gatlinburg Trolley website for more information.
