Hop aboard a glass elevator and ride up 400 ft to the Space Needle's observation deck. From there you can enjoy the scenic panorama and use the free view finders to bring the mountain vistas closer.

From the observation deck, you can experience a spectacular 360 degree view of downtown Gatlinburg as well as amazing views of the surrounding Great Smoky Mountains including Mount LeConte.

At an elevation of 6,593 feet, Mount LeConte is the 3rd highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (behind Clingmans Dome at 6,643 feet and Mount Guyot at 6,621 feet).

October is the peak time for fall colors in the Smokies and the observation deck is a great place to enjoy the beautiful display.

Fall is not the only time you can enjoy the beauty of the Smokies. In spring, you'll find colorful wildflowers in bloom. In summer, the mountains are covered in lush, green foliage. Visit in the winter and you may get to see a magnificent sight, the Smoky Mountains covered in snow.

Visit the Space Needle at night and you'll discover a totally different view with the city of Gatlinburg illuminated by dazzling lights.

The Gatlinburg Space Needle has a lot more to offer visitors than breathtaking mountain views. The Space Needle is home to Arcadia, Lazer Runner, the Iris Theater, Old Tyme Photo, Blaine's Grill, the Flying Saucer Italian Bistro and a gift shop.
