Gatlinburg Tennessee Trolleys
Gatlinburg has been providing local trolley service since May 1980.
The Gatlinburg, TN trolley service operates a citywide trolley system that is great
for getting around in the city. The trolley service also operates
routes that serve the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (3 park
destinations: Sugarlands Visitor Center, Laurel Falls Trail, and
the Elkmont Campground), Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountain
Arts & Crafts Community. The trolley service has 11 large trolleys
with a seating capacity of 28 to 36 and 8 mini-trolleys with a seating
capacity of 16 to 20. The trolley service has handicapped equipped
trolleys available to accommodate the disabled. A special van is
also available that will pick up handicapped visitors from their
motel (on demand only with a 24 hour notice). The trolley service
is open year round (16 hrs/day except in the winter). During the
winter routes are modified and the number of trolleys per day are
reduced.
