OktOBERfest - September 22 - October 29
Oktoberfest is a Bavarian-style celebration with great food and drink at Ober Gatlinburg plus live entertainment including traditional Bavarian folk dances, oompah music, schuhplattling, sing-a-longs, yodeling and more.

Fall Colors on Display

Autumn Colors in the Smokies - Mid-September thru Early November
Visit the Great Smoky Mountains for an incredible annual display of fall colors as leaves change from luxuriant greens to the brilliant reds, oranges, golds and purples of autumn. Leaves beginning changing at extremely high elevations in late September and then the change in color begins working its way down the mountains.

Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair - October 5-22
The Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair is held twice a year in the summer and fall. The finest artisans and craftsmen in the country wiil be at the Gatlinburg Convention Center displaying their goods including pottery, quilting, brooms, dulcimer, wood carving, candles, furniture, stained glass, metal work, basket weaving and more.

Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival - October 31
The Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival is great for families who're ready to trick-or-treat in the Great Smoky Mountains, but aren't familiar with the area.

A family-friendly Halloween event, the Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival takes place at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies from 1 pm until 5 pm. The event features loads of candy, costumed characters, Halloween-themed contests, good food and more.
